The Pirate Ship by Plan Toys is an absolute treasure (heh) to have. The design and function of the ship is based on the actual pirate ship. The ship has a gangway at the back that can be opened to move cargo into the storage room which also serve as a jail for prisoners.

Made of natural, chemical free recycled rubberwood and finished with non-toxic water based dye.

Wondeful pirate starter set!

This set is great: it is typical Plan high quality, has smooth wooden pieces that feel good in the hand, includes many pieces, and has nice bright colors. Both of my boys (ages 5 and 3) like this set and its versatility. The yellow deck that holds the steering wheel lifts off, the wooden steps lift off, the sail can be easily removed, so if you need more play room (my 3 year old) you can clear the decks quickly and easily! My older son likes the springy plank, the rowboat with removable oars, and the quirky crocodile that looks like it’s floating beside the ship! Great set!
