Cute idea, but frustrating for my kids
written almost 2 years agoThere is a definite age period when this is a fun toy to put together, but it doesn’t last long. If the child is too young they get frustrated because the pieces must go together a certain way and so they need help. If they are old enough to put it together on their own, then they pull it too fast/crazy and all the pieces fall off.
Fantastic for the recommended age.
written over 2 years agoThe sorting train pulls apart into several pieces and goes together one way. Each piece has a different geometrically shaped peg, which is great.
We ordered this when my son was about 15 months old. I thought it would be a great toy for him to pull around at that age and put together when he was older. He just took it apart at 15 months. At almost 2 (the recommended age) he has fun putting it together and is delighted by learning his shapes and colors from the pieces. He likes to push it off things and watch it crash more than pull it around, but then again he is a boy. I would absolutely recommended this toy for 2+, but probably not much younger. I believe it will be a toy my son continues to enjoy for some time. As always, it has held up to his abuse very nicely like all of the Plan Toys we have purchased.
