Picky the Penguin is light and easy to carry around. It also makes a nice gift in any party / favor bags.

The best toy!!!

written over 3 years ago

We got many beautiful toys for my baby daughter on Christmas; some colorful, some expensive, some big, some noisy… lots of toys. But none of them stood a chance when this humble penguin came into the picture. She went nuts for it and still does. I have him in a special penguin box and I take him out for a walk a couple of times a day —I don’t want my baby to play with it unsupervised since she’s 10 months old and tends to chew on everything. Summarizing, BUY IT!! It’s cute, simple, cheap, and your child will adore it. I think it’s my baby daughter favorite toy… well, it’s actually a tie with a seal puppet we have.

Pretty Cool

This penguin is very cute and well made. However, the head maybe a bit too heavy so after a few hops, it tips over. It doesn’t bother my son though. Every time it tipped over, he thinks it’s fun and laughs.

Great travel/car seat toy

written over 4 years ago

This is very well made and the nose is very securely attached. My son had fun watching it marches. He even attempt to wind it with his little finger (good for fine motor skill development). However, when it is release, it can quite loud. After awhile, we kind of use to the loud noise.

entertaining

written almost 5 years ago

I keep this in the diaper bag that I take into restaurants. After my 9 month old is finished with his meal and is getting stir-crazy, this penguin is one of the few “extras” I keep handy to buy us those few extra minutes we need to finish our meals. It’s fun to watch him lock in on it and pounce. I am a bit concerned about what he does with it after he gets it in his hands though, since all things travel “mouth-ward”. I worry about the feet and the dial — the wooden part (body and beak) appear to be very secure. I imagine that such a toy would be more safely entertaining for a younger infant. Nevertheless, I’ll still keep the penguin handy. It entertains our son and as it entertains him, it entertains us!
