An old idea from a new source! We all remember getting kits to build everything from Conestoga Wagons to Ships in a Bottle, but most everything was created for the young adults, leaving the youngest out.
Maple Landmark’s By Me series allows children 3 and up to have a good creative and constructive time! This kit has a 4" long unfinished, sanded smooth pine tugboat body, and 4 natural wheels and axles. The assembly instructions are under the tag. All you need is some glue, a hammer, and paints, crayons, stickers or whatever you want to use to decorate with.

Fun project on rainy day
written 6 months agoWe bought this for our very handy three year old who loves to assemble and take apart everything. The item is simple, well made. The natural finish allowed us to paint it to my 3yr old’s liking. Made in USA and at a great price, plan to purchase more.

written 11 months agoThe natural materials are smoothly sanded and easy to put together. My son enjoyed making his tugboat and then decorated with markers. Easy project and is great for a rainy day. I plan on buying other projects from this company. The sets are made in the USA.

written over 2 years agoI bought this as a present so I can only relay what I heard. Her son was excited to get it and loved the idea of being able to paint it however he wanted. She said he was super proud of putting it together and she liked seeing him have the experience of making it.
Great stocking stuffer
written over 4 years agoI’m always on the lookout for little projects like this to entertain my boys and their dad. Once assembled, this is the kind of toy I like to keep in my bag to keep the children occupied if I want them to sit quietly while we’re out and about. It’s made of natural materials, which is also a big plus for me.
