An old idea from a new source! We all remember getting kits to build everything from Conestoga Wagons to Ships in a Bottle, but most everything was created for the young adults, leaving the youngest out.

Maple Landmark’s Made By Me series allows children 3 and up to have a good creative and constructive time! This kit has a 4” long unfinished, sanded smooth pine train engine body, a smokestack, and 4 natural wheels and axles. The assembly instructions are under the tag. All you need is some glue, a hammer, and paints, crayons, stickers or whatever you want to use to decorate with.

My kids love trains and crafts. This was an easy and quick father and son project and they had a lot of fun putting it together and painting it to look like the famous little blue engine. For the price you can’t beat it.
