Great pre-literacy tool!
written over 3 years agoWe keep this toy in the car and my son turns the blocks, then reads the letters to me and I tell him the word he’s just made. What a great pre literacy tool. The only drawback is that it makes some nonsense words, such as “bip” and “hod”. However, nonsense words are still useful for literacy and learning word families. My son asks, “What’s a bip?” And I just tell him it’s a silly word.

written over 3 years agothis is the perfect toy to keep in your bag to pull out and occupy a new reader. it is simple but keeps interest long enough to pass the time while waiting on a long line at the supermarket

written over 4 years agoMy 26 month old daughter really enjoys this toy. She knows all of the letters in the alphabet, so she finds many of the 3-letter words to be intriguing. She can say some of the 3-letter words, and this offers her the opportunity for her to recognize their spelling, as well as explore new words using the same letters.
The quality of this product is also a nice surprise. I love that it is wooden and not plastic, and non of the paint has chipped or peeled during rough play. It is also light enough to carry in my bag and take on the go.
