Chan Pie Gnon comes from the French word champignon, which means mushroom. Chan (blue), Pie (pink), and Gnon (yellow) are adorably mushroom-shaped soft chew toys.

Yellow Gnon has an adorable ring atop her head, great for grasping and for teething babies to chew and nibble. Gnon makes a happy sound when squeezed.

A close cousin to Sophie the Giraffe, Gnon is also proudly handmade in the French Alps with the finest natural rubber (phthalate-free) and food quality paints.

To clean, simply wipe with a warm damp cloth. Do not immerse the teether in water.

Adorable!

written 8 months ago

I love these guys. I bought Pie and Gnon as gifts for a friend who is expecting twins (a girl and a boy). They are so cute and have such a funny squeak. I would have gotten Chan, but that nub on his head reminded me of a boob, and I wasn’t quite sure how it would be received! I also love that they are handmade in France. If you hold two of the same one up to each other, you can see the difference between them. Each one is unique! I will admit that my 5 month old does not like the Pie that I got for her (she cries when Pie squeaks), but I’m hoping she’ll grow into it, especially once those teeth start popping through!

Unbelievably Adorable--Totally Safe

written 9 months ago

I was looking for a non-made in China teething toy. This fits the bill. It’s completely safe and boy is it cute! My baby loved this when he was an infant and continues to play with it as a 11 month old. In fact, he threw it out of the stroller by accident while I was not looking and we had a trying week until we replaced it! A safe, chic, quirky teething toy.

Great!

It is a very unique looking Teether and it is made out of natural materials and is safe for babies to play with. For boys it goes great with the blue one as a set or with a pink one for a girl.

Great teether / toy

written 11 months ago

I continue to be pleased with Vulli products – this is the third ‘teething’ toy that I have purchased (Sophie, as well as the blue version of a clever play on words for champignon in French). I give this as a gift to friends children and have found that babies from 4 to even 12 months love playing with this squeaky little character.

Baby's Chew Toy

written about 1 year ago

When my grandson first began drooling and chewing on his hands I gave him this neat little teether. She is soft enough for tender gums and tough enough for gummy chewing. He loves to squish her, and the little loop on her head makes it easier to hang onto and move around. He loves to hold her in his chubby fist. She’s a favorite!

This is adorable!

written about 1 year ago

What a sweet little guy! My 3 year old immediately wanted to play with it, and was not all too thrilled when we told her it was for the upcoming baby! I think our new baby is going to love this-it is easy to squeak and is so soft! Plus the name, Chan Pie Gnon, is all too clever.

Great fun

My 9 month old enjoys the loop grabbing it and chewing on it, but what he really likes to do is make the toy squeak. It has is easy to make squeak, great for infants.

So cute

written over 1 year ago

My daughter loves to play with this little guy and make him squeek and I love that he’s made from natural rubber and food based paints. I’m planning on buying the whole set. I especially like that that Gnon can be attached to a stroller. If you like Sophie the Giraffe, you’ll love these Chan Pie Gnon toys. Just adorable.

Wonderful teether.

We bought this and the other two Chan Pie Gnons for our 5 month old daughter. I thought she would like this one the best but so far she as like the other two better. They are wonderful teethers.

Nice for early teethers

written almost 2 years ago

Our baby started teething at 3 months. Based on the reviews, we initially got Sophie the Giraffe which she loved, but it was a bit big for her mouth. So we got Gnon thinking it would be easier for her to chew on. As with Sophie, our baby loves its squeaky noises. Now that our baby is older and easily chews on both Sophie and Gnon, we have observed a preference for Sophie probably because Sophie has more textures. Still, we are glad we got both.
