Sophie the Giraffe

Not thrilled

Bought this giraffe as a teether toy for our daughter, and found out after purchasing that although it is supposed to be non-toxic, testing by an independent lab revealed various chemicals present that it was supposed to have been clear of. We are not using this for our daughter.

Best teething toy ever!

We love sophie! Her poor legs and head are just perfect for gumming and chewing on. We got one as a gift when my son was born 2 years ago. Lots of love and chewing through 2 kids later, she still looks great!

This toy is a CHOKING Hazard

Sophie the Giraffe is a very cute toy, but I have recently become very disappointed with the product.
My 5 month old daughter and I attend a playgroup once a week and the past 4 weeks I have allowed her to play with the giraffe that they have there. Last week when she played with it she managed to get 2 of the legs in her mouth and was gagging on them.
I was excited to purchase one of these giraffes but now that my daughter has choked on it, I will NOT be purchasing one and I will be warning other parents about this hazard.

Teething Two Year Old Still Loves It!

I bought this toy when my son was born over two years ago. He absolutely loved it! He would smile at it, laugh at it and chew it. Two years later, he still loves this toy!. He is getting his back molars and loves to use Sophie’s legs to teeth! I recently had another baby and bought another Sophie for him. He also loves this toy!

Best chew toy

Great gift for a newborn. Not only is this little giraffe really cute, my daughter loved it. There are lots of little parts to chew on and it is well made with safe materials. Definitely worth the money.

Well-loved, non-toxic toy

I bought this for a first birthday present. The birthday girl held on to Sophie for most of the gift-opening session. Sophie continues to be well-loved and frequently played with. I like that it is made in France, so I’m less worried about toxins.

fun but will not keep baby's interest

my baby was 6 months when i got this for her and she was easily bored with this. she preferred and still prefers the vanilla scented teethers. she likes sophie when sophie is squeeking but she can’t make sophie squeek so i have to be squeeking sophie for her. mabey she would have liked this more if she was younger?

We LOVE Sophie!!!

I don’t know what we would do without Sophie! My daughter has loved her since she was 5 months old, she loves squeeking her, chewing on her, holding her up and talking to her, etc…
This toy is perfect and is created perfectly for little ones!

Love this toy!

This giraffee is so cute and a wonderful toy. I wish I had one for my other two older kids as they were babies. My nine-month old loves his Sophie. She is bendable and makes a cute squeaking noise. Highly recommended.

Not Yet Opened, But Much Praised

I sent this as a new born gift to my new(ish) niece. Although Sophie has not yet been opened, I have mentioned this gift to a lot of parents, all of whom seemed to know who Sophie was and who recommended her. I feel very smart that I bought her. (Also because giraffes are our family’s mascot.)

One of the reasons I got her was because she is nontoxic.
