Best chew toy ever...

There are over a hundred reviews on Sophie…I would agree with the positive ones. I had a similar toy when I was a child, and initially bought it because of that. My daughter used to love the squeak, now that her teeth are coming in, she is also chewing on it. It’s one toy I don’t worry about her chewing chunks off. I just put it in the top dishwasher rack for cleaning ease. No problems so far. Highly recommend.

the best teether ever!

My son loves loves loves loves Sophie! He loved the squeaky bit when he was younger, and now just loves to gnaw on her head and legs. Great purchase. Fabulous product that is virtually worry free, with the safe rubber and food-grade paint decor. Worth every single penny. I recommend this to all of my friends, and they love it, too!

beloved sophie

Sophie quickly became my now 6 month old’s favorite toy. Alas, we just lost her and I am buying two – one to replace and one as back up. We don’t want to be Sophie-less again any time soon! I highly recommend this teether – worth every penny!

Sophie is a great treasure for teethers.

I had a collection of teethers for my 4 month old boy prior to purchasing Sophie for him. In a short time Sophie has become his favorite. Sophie is wonderfully soft and pliable for his delicate mouth and hands, and make an interesting and rewarding squeak when he handles it. At 5 month, Sophie remains his favorite. I’ve concluded that Sophie is the only teether that he wants.

A must have!

I bought this as a new baby gift for friends, after seeing how much my daughter enjoyed hers. It was the first toy she could grasp herself and chew – ideal for a young baby who wants to gum and chew everything, but can’t hold on to anything. She used it since she was 3 months old. It squeaks too, which never fails to make her squeal and laugh. A good toy for the car seat or stroller too.

Perfect

My 4 month old son is teething and LOVES to chew on Sophie’s face. As soon as he spots her he starts grabbing for her and tries to shove her in his mouth. I’m going to buy a second one to keep at daycare (and in case our dog thinks she is a squeaky toy).

Easy to grab and chew

This is a popular chew item for my 6-month-old. He can easily grasp Sophie from a variety of angles, and likes to chew her snout and feet.

The squeaking function requires a pretty good squeeze, which is actually nice, since hearing it make noise with every stroke of his jaw would be a little much.

If I had one complaint, it would be that Sophie still retains some latex-like odor and flavor after a couple months of ownership.

Overall this item meets my expectations, and seems durable enough to last awhile.

Nice toy but we prefer the ChanPieGnon

I know this is a very popular toy, and while my son enjoys playing with it, he doesn’t quite get that it’s a great toy for teething. He just plays with the legs whereas the Chan toy (also made by Vulli) he immediately puts in his mouth (this may have to do with the nub on the end of the Chan toy, which looks more appealing than Sophie’s legs). Still, a great toy and highly recommended.

My niece's favorite thing in the whole wide world

Sophie was my first gift to my niece. She’s about 8 months old now and in the teething and grabbing stage. She’s totally in love with Sophie! Although it’s a little on the pricey side but I think it’s a quality product and worth the investment

Teether's Paradise

Baby loves this! So does the cat. In fact, we’re on our third Sophie – somehow the cat always gets to it in the end. The rubber is delightfully soft, fantastic for the Baby, too delicate for those spiky cat teeth. One discovery we made is that each Sophie is different: there are size differences and even differences in facial expression and the tone of the squeaker. Baby loved Sophie No. 2 best (alas): she was the smallest and had a really high-pitched squeak. Our Sophie No. 3 has big, big eyes and a loud squeak – not so cute as the other ones. But this is hand-made, and we can vouch for it. Baby loves CHAN, from the Chan Pie Gnon series by Vulli, equally well if not better (the nipple-like top knot?).
