One of our kids’ favorites, this puzzle illustrates 6 beloved farm animal pictures. Each picture / side is made up of 16 wooden cube pieces. It’s a great learning piece for beginner and intermediate problem solvers.

Animal pictures: hen, sheep, ducks, cow, pig, and horse.

A small hint: each picture has a colored outer rim to give kids a great start. Challenging, entertaining, educational and of great value!

Good beginner puzzle

I like the complexity of this puzzle for young children. It’s been a good teaching tool for my 3-year-old because it takes a while for her to turn all of the blocks to find the correct puzzle piece. While I’m usually happy with the Melissa and Doug brand, be forewarned that the paper sticker can easily come off. These are not chewing blocks. I know this is for ages 3 and up, but an infant got a hold of some of the blocks and easily chewed off the design and even small slivers of the block.
