written 7 months agoMy 5 year old daughter still enjoys playing with this, her favorite part is making up silly words. When she was first learning how to read this was a really fun game for us, she would sound out the letters and try to figure out if she had made a real or silly word. :)
I recommend the spinny speller…it makes a great stocking stuffer!
Easy for little hands to work - tons of fun
written over 1 year agoThis is the perfect size for little hands to manipulate the letters and create new words. My little one has tons of fun with this toy. I’d love to see them create one with 4+ letters as kids advance in their language development. My family loves this!
Nice Toy; Strong Polyurethane Smell
written over 2 years agoI love this toy, the idea of it, and the execution are both great. We plan to put it in my daughter’s stocking this year, and I know she’ll adore it as she’s just on the brink of reading, and is in the early stages of writing and spelling.
I deducted one star because the urethane finish has such a strong smell when you remove the plastic wrapper that it’s headache-inducing. It takes about a month to go away. I’m really glad we bought it a few months early.
Nice word puzzle
written over 2 years agoThis toy is neat. There are words that I don’t even know. :) It’s small enough to fit into my bag and is very portable. My son is still too young to play with this. So, we’ll see how he reacts to it. It can be a nice stocking stuffer too.
