Fun puzzle

My daughter has had lots of fun with this puzzle, from the time she was 10 months old. Now she’s 2 and still plays with it from time to time; now it’s too easy for her, but I think she finds it very satisfying and still fun – now she also names the animals and/or makes their sounds. The big knobs are a great feature – perfect for little hands to have more control with the placement of the pieces.

Great puzzle!

I just broke this puzzle out today for my 17-month-old. It was a hit! Although Melissa and Doug say that this particular puzzle is suitable for 12 months+, I waited until now to introduce it because I wanted to work up to a puzzle that has this many pieces in it. The characters are cheerful and friendly, and it was so exciting to see that my son can identify all of these barnyard friends without feeling overwhelmed. Made with non-toxic paint, the pieces have large, child-friendly knobs for little ones to easily grasp. My only gripe is that the construction is less than perfect- one of the knobs came slightly dinged and the paint job is not always exacting. But, hey, it is going to get used by a child anyway, right?! Overall, a fun puzzle that I definitely would recommend.
