Keys are best seperated!
written over 3 years agoMy baby was not interested in these keys at all for months, until we took all the keys off the ring. Now, she loves the yellow key and likes to crawl around with it in her hand. She has chewed the paint off the end but it is well loved!
not built to last
written almost 4 years agothis toy didn’t make it more than 2 months with us. The wood is very flimsy and the paint chips off with ease. With light usage the car shaped holder cracked. I am not impressed, go with plan toys instead.
BABY LOVES IT BUT PAINT QUALITY IS VERY LOW!
written over 4 years agoI originally purchased these keys because my daughter was always trying to play with my keys (which is pretty scary due to the high level of lead found in most keys). It was an instant hit at my home! She still loves to chew on the keys and take them off the key ring. I like the fact that the paint is “non-toxic” but I am concerned since all of the Melissa & Doug toys which I have purchased have paint that chips off or rubs off fairly easily. The black paint from the wheels has smeared onto the natural colored parts and the red paint from the car body has left little red paint chips on her nursery floor. If the company would use a higher grade of paint I would have given it 5 stars.
large but fun and interesting
written over 4 years agoThese keys are larger than I expected but I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. They are a fun toy and baby loves to play with them. He’s been playing with them for 2 months now, since he was 6 months old and we have not noticed any paint problems. It still looks brand new to me. Even if the paint did fade, it wouldn’t bother me…just goes to show that it is non-toxic (lead is used in other toys to make the paint stick better). We are happy with this purchase!
Cute Clacking Keys
written over 4 years agoWe bought these keys for our 10 month old daughter and she likes them a lot. They make a fun clacking sound and I love the fact that they are made from wood vs. plastic. My daughter likes that she can take the keys off the key ring and chew on them separately. The only thing I wish is that it was a little smaller so they seemed more like real keys. My daughter isn’t fooled with this one ;-) Great quality though.

written over 4 years agothis is so cute but i could never get my baby very interested in it she would shake it around a bit and then move on to something else. the paint did rub off the keys pretty quickly, but i love melissa and doug. toys because i know it is lead free.

written over 4 years agoMy son as an infant loved the noise the keys made. As he continued to teeth, he has enjoyed chewing on them. It feels good knowing he is safe with Melissa and Doug products. We even bought this toy for a friend!

written over 4 years agoI bring this toy out for play groups, and it is always the one the babies go for. The keys can be removed from the key ring, and each baby ends up teething on one of the keys. After months of use, the paint still looks great!
