We're sorry but this item is no longer available.

Shape and color recognition is taken to the next level with this challenging 216-piece set of rainbow-colored shapes. Use them to sort, count, stack, build and rebuild. The possibilities are endless.

A wonderful set for Montessori and Waldorf teachings at home or at school.

Designed based on the teachings of passionate German educator Friedrich W. A. Froebel, the founder of “kindergarten”, these toys teach math concepts in a fun and playful way.

Froebel (born in 1782) was the first person to call for training of pre-school educators, and based his ideas on tested educational models promoting children’s natural development with movements and games; the equivalence of modern day “learning through playing” concept.

Great homeschooling tool

written over 2 years ago

I bought just about all of the Froebel sets sold at KangarooBoo as homeschooling tools. This is a really nice set, with tons of different shapes and sizes. The colors are vibrant and the finish is typical of Haba… Nice and smooth. Most of the pieces are very small, though, so these are definitely for older children. Though the label is Haba, these are really TC Timber blocks. From what I understand, the TC Timber line has been discontinued, so this might be one of the last places to get these cool little blocks!

Creative and Fun

written over 2 years ago

I introduced these to my son as a way of teaching him shapes and colors since he was 9 months old. Now 10 months old, he still enjoys chewing and playing with the large circles (only for now as the rest are too small). He also continues to put them in and out of a box. It is cute to watch him crawl around with them in his mouth- without the fear of them chipping or bleeding ink.

Beautiful quality blocks

written over 2 years ago

These are lovely blocks. Shiny, smooth, well-finished. Note the size and age. They are small pieces suitable for teaching math and shapes, but not really for building. They are a good value, but when you see “216 pieces” don’t expect a huge box. All the pieces easily fit in a gallon size zip loc bag. I love the tactile feel, but the smoothness does make them hard to build with for little hands.

great "block" set for older child

written over 2 years ago

This works like a set of blocks but yet different in some other ways that allows children to build objects. My son was very excited when I opened this for him. However, there are many small pieces. So, if you have other young children (under two), be mindful of this. I use this set to teach my son shapes, colors, numbers, etc.

High quality manipulative at a great price.

written over 2 years ago

I ordered two of these after talking to my mom who is a teacher. She said they were a great deal especially considering the quality that Haba consistently produces. My son is too young to play/learn with these right now, but I have had a great time playing with them. The large circles are big enough for a baby and my son does love to chew on them. They have become one of his favorite teething toys and the excellent lacquer Haba uses is still fully intact.

Colorful, versatile, educational, and high-quality!

written about 3 years ago

I ordered two of these – one for my little girl and one for her friend for his birthday. They’re both two years old, but advanced. We removed the smallest pieces just to be safe. My daughter LOVES the bright colors and shapes, and I enjoy playing with it, too! It’s unstructured, so you make your own fun and have mini-lessons, perfect for a toddler’s attention span. Shapes, colors, division, patterns – this is a great way to learn and play at the same time.

Great product, super fast shipping, and wonderful customer service! Thanks.
