About Selecta

Tilmann Förtsch and Günther Menzel founded German company Selecta in 1968, with the aim to provide high value, specially chosen toys which promote the development of children. Selecta toys really are genuine natural beauties: well-thought-out functions, appealing colors and illustrations done to suit the various age groups provide highly inviting products.

Beeswax gives naturally finished toys their soft, velvety sheen, and Selecta was one of the first companies to use beeswax in this way.

Selecta not only produces beautiful wooden toys but is also a very socially and environmentally responsible company, going above and beyond to ensure it stays true to these values.

Great toy for on the go!

written about 3 years ago

We have this little grasping toy and love it! It’s the perfect size to throw in my diaper bag for on the go. It washes off easiily and entertains my baby for quite awhile. Plus, you can even clip it onto the links for on the stroller or shopping cart.

What a fab toy to build hand/eye coordination!!

written almost 4 years ago

My son loves this toy! He can hold it with both hands so much easier than some of his other toys. He also likes the soft clacking sound the rings make. My older son had this toy as a baby as well and loved ‘squishing’ the sides together and pulling it back into a square. Such a great toy, I got another one 8 years later!
