Who We Are:
KangarooBoo is a parent-owned-and-operated online specialty toy store. It was founded by us, Jennic and Justin Law. I (Jennic) was an engineer who became a stay at home mom before the birth of our second child, and Justin a software developer. We live in Iowa with our two young children who help test products.

Toys:
At KangarooBoo we pride ourselves in offering unique, exceptional quality wooden toys, handmade and handcrafted toys and smart children’s products. Our products are eco-friendly, made from sustainable materials and simply fun! Children learn best while they are playing. Our toys inspire creativity and offer open-ended play, encourage imagination and intellect. The toys that our children experience today will have a deep impact on the adults they become tomorrow. We are parents to two young preschoolers. Our philosophy is such that we only carry toys/products we would let our own children play with and have.

Our toys are made in various countries with most of them made in Europe. Each toy’s detail page lists where the toy is manufactured. On our website, you can browse toys by country of origin (where it was manufactured) as well as category or age group. If you feel strongly about China-made toys, then you might find the Not Made In China filtering to be very helpful as it does not display any China-made toys.

Community:
KangarooBoo will enhance your shopping experience by giving you tools to connect and communicate with other parents, educators, caregivers and even toy designers. We believe these tools are essential in helping you make educated buying decisions, share play ideas, kid activities and common interests.

Charity:
From Jennic
I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma a mere 10 weeks after our wedding. I had just turned 24 at the time of diagnose. My newlywed husband Justin was a pillar of strength to me in the land of unknown and emotional roller coasters. After nearly one-year of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, I reached remission and fortunately have remained in remission since 2001.

Everyday I’m thankful of what I have, and of what I could have lost. Everyday I’m mindful that there are countless people who lose the battle, particularly young children. As a cancer survivor and as a parent, I am very committed to making a difference in the lives of children. My husband and I have always done fund raising events in the past, so it naturally extends into our business belief as well. We donate a portion of our sales to children-related charities. KangarooBoo will do this with every single order that it processes. At the end of the check-out process, you as the customer, make the final decision on which charity the money goes to. We are starting with pediatric cancer charities first and hope to expand our list of causes in the future.
