…the single large nob on the mushroom’s head doesn’t compare to the other two in Vulli’s chan pie gnon set. If you’re a stickler for having the complete set, then spring for the third one. If you’re going for functionality, however, you might want to hold off on this one and get the yellow and pink mushrooms instead.

I purchased this stacking toy for my niece Hazel’s first birthday. It’s a great-looking toy—with bright and beautiful colors on solid wood—but the main stick broke almost immediately after my niece started playing with it. Adorable the toy is; durable it definitely is not. Also, the toy is advertised as having genuine leather ears, but our Fanfan unfortunately came with felt. :(

…when you have a cute caterpillar like this one??? The colors are really bright and the design is adorable. The one thing I worry about it is the durablity of the caterpillar’s eight legs as they’re actually balls that help it roll. Not sure how long they’ll hold up with serious use, but they’re cute for now.

My sister lived in Chamonix and fell in love with all things Vulli, so for my niece Hazel’s first Christmas, I had to get her the whole set of Vulli’s mushrooms. The nobs on the head of this model work really well for teething. It’s probably the second best of the trio. We liked the champignons so much that I just purchased this one again for my other niece Marlee who is teething.
