A great pull toy. My 13 month old daughter loves it! She is always crawling over to play with it, and can pull the cord to make it walk. I like that it makes noise, since that encourages her to play with it. The clacking is not too loud. The toy is well made, durable, cute and a decent size.

Bought this for my 13 month old daughter, since she likes music. It’s a good first instrument. As other reviewers have mentioned, the notes are not in tune. But it doesn’t matter to my daughter – she enjoys banging the keys, and hearing the sounds that come out. This is not an everyday toy, but she enjoys playing with it every now and then when I bring it out. I’m not sure about unsupervised play with it, since the mallet could be dangerous at her age. But for a first musical instrument, it’s a great purchase.

Perfect for high chair written about 4 years ago
Based on the previous reviews, I bought this for use when my daughter is in her high chair. She’s now 10 months, and has been using since she was 7 months old. I stick it to her high chair after dinner, and she’ll occupy herself for 10-20 minutes while I clean up. It’s been neat to watch the progression as her little fingers learn what to do. It’s been a great toy for helping with her pincher grasp and hand eye coordination. Highly recommended.

Bought this as a gift for my 2.5 year old nephew – he loved it! He was able to put it together himself without much help from mom. He loves tools, and building things, so it was perfect. Good for an afternoon of fun.

My daughter was able to start holding this herself around 4 months old, and it is now easy to grasp. She still occasionally uses it at 10 months, when she’s teething. I like that the entire piece is a teether – she has others where only part is filled with water, and there is a hard piece of plastic, and she always chews the plastic. This is nice because the entire piece is cold and soothing.
