Recycled Plastic Sand Play Set by Green Toys
Great set and it's eco-friendly! written 5 months ago
We love this set of sand toys! They’re made from recycled milk jugs so the tools are a very thick plastic and made very well. I can’t imagine them ever wearing out. My 4 year old son loves the rope handle on the bucket and the shovel and rake are very effective at getting the job done. The mold is nicely detailed too. Highly recommended!
Wooden Tribal Stringing Beads by Melissa & Doug
Great gender-neutral bead kit. written 5 months ago
I got this for my 4 year old son who loves jewelry. It’s the first set of beads I’ve seen that doesn’t scream girly pink. The beads are small, so it’s better for older preschoolers and up. Good for fine motor skills and creating designs and patterns. Since the beads are made of wood, they are a few rejects, but still worth the price.
Geo Shape Tack Zap by Haba
Great Montessori style kit. written 5 months ago
This reminds me of a Montessori activity involving punching out traced shapes. You create designs or shapes with the small wooden pieces and hammer the tiny nails into the cork board. It takes quite a bit of concentration for a 3 or 4 year old, but that’s why I like it so much. Nicely open-ended and good for enhancing fine motor skills. These are true tools and help to give the child an appreciation for using your hands and a sense of importance because they get to use something so real.
Mini Truck Police Truck by Vilac
Cute! written 5 months ago
This vehicle is made very well of lacquered wood and nicely rolling, smooth wheels. I’d suggest it for a first car or an addition to a small toddler’s car collection. It doesn’t really appeal that much to older children or preschoolers.
Balance by Haba
Beautiful scale written 5 months ago
I searched everywhere for a scale and found this nice one from Haba. It’s truly beautiful and made extremely well. The balance is right on. My only complaint is that it doesn’t come with any weights or measures, but my son uses it for everything and anything he can find around the house. Great for math and science concepts.
